Hey peeps! We are in full summertime mode and looking forward to the triple-header weekend!!! This friday we are back at our home bar, Looney's North. Come hangout after happy hour! Saturday, we go back to a place we haven't been since Jim played bass guitar full time. That was 7 years ago and the place is Red Eye's Dock Bar! Cool stuff, I know! Sunday, we head to Ocean City to rock out at Seacrets for the second show of the summer! If you are down there for your vacation, come see us. That place is insane! Later.
5.18.10 - Bull Roast - June 5th
Posted by: Larry at 10:33am
We continue to help many foundations in raising money and awareness for causes that need help.
On June, 5th we are playing a benfit to help the Angel Above Foundation who is having a bull and shrimp roast at Oregon Ridge Park. PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THIS GREAT CAUSE!!! We start at 7pm and here are the details of the foundation:
Angel Above was founded in 2010 by family and friends of Sharon Coppage. We want to remember Sharon as the amazing wife, mother and friend that she was by helping others with the same "can do" attitude she emulated throughout her life. Sharon passed away suddenly in June of 2007 leaving a family and countless friends to wonder how they could carry on her compassionate nature and zest for life. If anyone needed her help for any reason she would be there. We want that to carry through in Angel
Above. Our mission is to help save the lives of
those affected by a variety of illnesses. We want to make a difference and need your help to do so. We want to have our Angel Above smiling down on all of us for the wonderful work we have dedicated ourselves to doing in Sharon's memory. Please read about the causes your donation will be aiding. We also hope to see you at the Bull & Shrimp Roast as Sharon loved to have fun and laugh!!
With Sharon passing away from an undetected heart condition and her grandson, Dylan, being diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Helen B. Taussig Congenital Heart Center at Johns Hopkins, a world leader in advancing pediatric cardiology care.
Every 15 minutes a baby is born with a Congentital Heart Defect (CHD) a staggering statistic when you think about it. Children undergo surgeries and sadly, some die every day from CHDs. We need to understand what causes CHDs and to prevent them. We need to detect and diagnose CHDs as early as possible. While much progress has been made, we need to
develop new treatments for CHDs so that children
undergo fewer invasive surgeries and improve
the long-term prognosis for children with CHDs.
Can you tell she suffers from Epilepsy? Unfortunately, epilepsy can haunt you or your loved ones at anytime. Epilepsy and seizures affect almost 3 million Americans of all ages. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Stroup Kids for Kids = Epilepsy Foundation. They raise money to increase awareness of how epilepsy can affect you and to help find a cure someday! Sharon became involved prior to her passing and would be overjoyed to know that with your support we can help prevent, control and cure epilepsy through life-saving research, education, and advocacy. At age 2, Ava was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia; which is where cancer cells begin to invade your bone marrow. Through the help of research and medical trials the survival rate has improved from zero four decades ago, to 20-75 percent currently, largely due to clinical trials on new chemotherapeutic agents and improvements in stem cell transplantation (SCT) technology. Currently Ava is at the half way point of her 3 year treatment plan. There is a trust that has been set up with M&T Bank to help pay for the overwhelming medcal costs. Help us aid in lifting some of the financial burden so that Ava and her family can continue to fight and focus on her recovery.
We are dedicated to helping those in need of support and hope!! Contact us to learn more
and donate to a great cause:

4.27.10 - Artists 4 Amy!
Posted by: Larry at 4:02pm
We are playing a very special all ages benefit for the Artists4Amy Summer Concert Fundraiser Series at the Hard Rock Inner Harbor this Sunday, May 2 from 2-6. All proceeds will go to help an adorable young lady named MacKenzie Struck from Sykesville, MD.
In 2005, MacKenzie underwent a routine brain scan. That scan revealed a cancerous brain tumor. The tumor was removed 4 years ago by world renowned pediatric neurologist Dr. Ben Carson. Tragically, the tumor returned and is considered in-operable and untreatable. MacKenzie is 12 years old and planning her 13th and possibly final birthday this Sunday, May 2nd. She has been given approximately 6 months to live.
MacKenzie has always dreamed of visiting Disney World with her mom, dad and her 3 sisters. We're pulling out all the stops necessary to try to make this dream come true. If you can, please join us this Sunday at the Hard Rock Cafe to throw MacKenzie a birthday party beyond her wildest imagination. Let's shower her with gifts and donations in hopes of helping her realize her dream of visiting Disney World.
Please forward this email to your family and friends to help boost support for this event.
See the flyer on our home page which includes additional information and below are links that tell a little more of MacKenzie's story...
